Pronghorn Population Low, NDGF Will Not Recommend a Season This Year

North Dakota Game and Fish Department biologists recently completed the 2010 pronghorn population survey, and census data revealed the statewide population is 37 percent lower than last year and down more than 50 percent from 2008 as a consequence of recent severe winter weather. Therefore, the Game and Fish Department will not recommend a pronghorn hunting season in 2010.

NDOW OFFERS ANTELOPE SEMINAR - Jun. 26, 2009
The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is hosting an informational seminar for hunters interested in learning more about pronghorn antelope. While this annual workshop is held primarily for hunters who received an antelope tag for the upcoming hunting season. Other interested sportsmen also are invited to attend. Tag holders should receive an invitation letter in the mail.

2009 PRONGHORN ANTELOPE PERMIT APPLICATIONS ONLINE ONLY - May. 20, 2009
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) has announced that there will be no paper applications or mail-in forms for 2009 antelope permits. All applications must be submitted online. The application deadline is midnight June 12. Those who applied last year will not receive an application in the mail this year.
