Pronghorn Population Low, NDGF Will Not Recommend a Season This Year
North Dakota Game and Fish Department biologists recently completed the 2010 pronghorn population survey, and census data revealed the statewide population is 37 percent lower than last year and down more than 50 percent from 2008 as a consequence of recent severe winter weather. Therefore, the Game and Fish Department will not recommend a pronghorn hunting season in 2010.The regulations for Arizona?s 2010 elk and pronghorn antelope seasons are available online at www.azgfd.gov/draw, and hunters interested in obtaining a hunt permit-tag via the draw process can start applying now.
Commission to consider elk and antelope hunt orders on Dec. 5 - Dec. 04, 2009
The Arizona Game and Fish Commission will consider and may vote to approve Commission Orders 3 (pronghorn antelope), 4 (elk), and 26 (population management) for the 2010 fall hunting season during the Saturday portion of its regularly scheduled meeting on Dec. 4-5. The commission orders establish seasons and season dates, bag and possession limits, permit numbers or authorized limits, and open areas.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife reminds young pronghorn hunters who were unsuccessful that a "second chance" hunt is open to them in December. The second chance to hunt is only available to youth hunters 12-17, and only in 21 units located in southeast part of the state where pronghorn herds are over objective.

LINCOLN, Neb. ? The archery antelope hunting season opens Aug. 20, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The season runs through Nov. 13, then is open Nov. 23 through Dec. 31.
