Pronghorn Population Low, NDGF Will Not Recommend a Season This Year
North Dakota Game and Fish Department biologists recently completed the 2010 pronghorn population survey, and census data revealed the statewide population is 37 percent lower than last year and down more than 50 percent from 2008 as a consequence of recent severe winter weather. Therefore, the Game and Fish Department will not recommend a pronghorn hunting season in 2010.The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is conducting public meetings and requesting comments on hunting and licensing rules for bears, cougars, antelope and deer that will be presented to the State Game Commission this year.
Hartsel Meeting July 15 to focus on Pronghorn Management in Park County - Jul. 07, 2010
The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) will hold a public meeting to gather input on the pronghorn herd in Park County. Pronghorn population and composition objectives and any other issues of concern regarding pronghorn management in Game Management Units (GMUs) 49, 50, 500, 501, 57, 58, 581, and 511 will be discussed. The Hartsel meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., July 15 at the Hartsel Community Center, 86 Valley Ave, Hartsel.
Antelope Season Proposed - Jun. 21, 2010
The South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Commission proposed to issue the same number of licenses for the upcoming 2010 Antelope Season as were sold in 2009, but the number of tags issued will be approximately 8,000 less than last year.

DEPARTMENT CAPTURES, RELOCATES 277 PRONGHORN ANTELOPE - Mar. 23, 2010
GLADSTONE -- The Department of Game and Fish captured 277 pronghorn antelope this month on private land in northeastern New Mexico and relocated them to Mexico, Santa Ana Pueblo, a ranch near Grants, and Bureau of Land Management property near San Antonio Mountain.

Pronghorn Released in Gunnison Basin - Mar. 02, 2010
GUNNISON, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife released 62 pronghorn in the Gunnison Basin on Feb. 26 to supplement the population in that area. The release area was about 20 miles southeast of the town of Gunnison.

SUCCESSFUL TRAP MOVES 51 ANTELOPE TO POTENTIAL HUNTING AREA - Feb. 16, 2010
ROSWELL-- Fifty-one pronghorn antelope recently were trapped and successfully relocated to ranches north of Roswell, the Department of Game and Fish announced. The animals came off a farm where they were eating cultivated crops.
