DOW Seeks Granby Pronghorn Poacher - Nov. 01, 2010The Colorado Division of Wildlife is asking the public for information leading to the citation or arrest of the poacher who killed a large buck pronghorn and left it to rot on private land near Granby.
Hartsel Meeting July 15 to focus on Pronghorn Management in Park County - Jul. 07, 2010
The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) will hold a public meeting to gather input on the pronghorn herd in Park County. Pronghorn population and composition objectives and any other issues of concern regarding pronghorn management in Game Management Units (GMUs) 49, 50, 500, 501, 57, 58, 581, and 511 will be discussed. The Hartsel meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., July 15 at the Hartsel Community Center, 86 Valley Ave, Hartsel.
Pronghorn Released in Gunnison Basin - Mar. 02, 2010
GUNNISON, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife released 62 pronghorn in the Gunnison Basin on Feb. 26 to supplement the population in that area. The release area was about 20 miles southeast of the town of Gunnison.
Youth Pronghorn Hunters Get Second Chance - Oct. 09, 2009
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife reminds young pronghorn hunters who were unsuccessful that a "second chance" hunt is open to them in December. The second chance to hunt is only available to youth hunters 12-17, and only in 21 units located in southeast part of the state where pronghorn herds are over objective.
DOW Seeks Input On Pronghorn Hunting Regs - Sep. 11, 2008
The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) will hold public meetings Sept. 19 and 23 to gather input regarding potential changes to pronghorn hunting regulations. The Sept. 19 meeting is 6 - 9 p.m. at the Limon Community Building at 477 "D" Ave. in Limon. The Sept. 23 meeting is from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Rush School, 420 S. Rush Rd. in Rush.
