Arizona's elk, antelope application deadline approaching - Jan. 27, 2011
PHOENIX - Hunters seeking a chance to hunt Arizona's coveted elk or pronghorn antelope are running out of time to submit a paper application to the Arizona Game and Fish Department for a chance at the limited permits issued through the drawing process.

They're here. Printed versions of Arizona's 2011 Pronghorn Antelope and Elk Hunt Draw Information booklets are now available at all seven Arizona Game and Fish Department offices.

Elk and Pronghorn application deadline almost here - Jan. 29, 2010
Applications must be submitted to the Arizona Game and Fish Department by U.S. mail to P.O. Box 74020, Phoenix, AZ 85087-1052 or hand-delivered to any department office by Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 by 7 p.m. (MST) - postmarks do not count.

Applications being accepted for 2010 Arizona elk, pronghorn hunts - Dec. 18, 2009
The regulations for Arizona?s 2010 elk and pronghorn antelope seasons are available online at www.azgfd.gov/draw, and hunters interested in obtaining a hunt permit-tag via the draw process can start applying now.

Commission to consider elk and antelope hunt orders on Dec. 5 - Dec. 04, 2009
The Arizona Game and Fish Commission will consider and may vote to approve Commission Orders 3 (pronghorn antelope), 4 (elk), and 26 (population management) for the 2010 fall hunting season during the Saturday portion of its regularly scheduled meeting on Dec. 4-5. The commission orders establish seasons and season dates, bag and possession limits, permit numbers or authorized limits, and open areas.

Next Game and Fish Commission meeting is Dec. 4-5 - Nov. 20, 2009
The Arizona Game and Fish Commission's next regularly scheduled meeting is Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4-5 at the Game and Fish Department headquarters at 5000 W. Carefree Highway in Phoenix (1.5 miles west of I-17).

Two public meetings remain for elk, antelope hunt recommendations - Oct. 23, 2009
The public has an opportunity to attend two more public meetings to help develop the 2010 hunt recommendations for pronghorn antelope, elk, and population management hunts. Constituents interested in particular game management units within those regions will have the opportunity to discuss management direction.
